are there supported android device's?

Hello,

we have several customers who all have issue's with the android 3CX app.

the common issue we see is that when the phone should receive a call it does not ring, and when you "wake" (not unlock) the phone, you do see a missed call.

i have been looking into this with 2 several customers and everything is retracable to the wifi disconnecting when the phone goes to sleep. so in fact this is not a 3CX issue but a disconnecting wifi when sleeping issue.

for example customer 1 has 50x huawei Y5 devices and with all energy savings OFF and settings that he cannot disconnect any networks when sleeping, the devices DO disconnect when in sleep. i have tested this with several devices.

the problem is these customers have no simcards in the devices because they are soly used for 3CX over wifi.

the customer asks if i can advise a device who does not disonnect.

so:

are there any supported devices for 3CX for the android app, now and in the future?

because, if i now find another device who does not disconnect when sleeping on wifi i'm not sure that in de future an update can do this, and then i will be hold responsible.

So, no, 3CX doesn't support you on phones. They will support the app.

We all know that Android and its battery saving features are hell. 3CX cannot do anything about it, it's up to manufacturers to fix their OS and have Push work correctly even when they kill the app. iOS doesn't have that problem.

So, if you need something that works well, go DECT/Wi-Fi phones or buy used Samsung/LG phones instead of Huawei. They have less chance of crappy OS and battery saving.

Otherwise, buy a couple of used iPhones.

One of the strengths of Android is that each manufacturer can customize the OS to their liking. As you have already discovered, this can also be a weakness of course, so we cannot recommend any specific devices due to this reason. Hence the answer to your question is no, we do not have a list of supported devices.

Do we have any requirements at all? Yes, but fairly generic ones:

- Must be Android 7 and above
- Must have Google Play Store along with the accompanied Google Services
