Asking about SC provided in licences

Hi,
i've asked French commercial team why 3CX is generous with free users (not customers IMO) and not doing the same with real customers with paid licences.

For now everyone can have a free licence 16 SC for 1 year and then downgraded to 8SC lifetime, in same time customers who have paid for 4SC perpetual or annual , and with active maintenance paid each years have not seen their licence increased to 8 SC level .

So,on one side 3CX give all free, and real customers giving money to 3CX have not the same to almost 8SC as this seems to be the low level now.

To be fair with commercial buyers, could this be considered in near future to align all 4SC customers to 8SC?

We are near Christmas, so perhaps......Santa can bring us a gift?

Nota: I don't ask at all to convert commercial 4 SC to Free licences , just to increase to same level 8 SC given for free

I agree, but here's my view on that: free license shouldn't exist.

How do you sell a PBX when most of small customers will be alright with the free version? If none were free, it'd be easier to sell IMO.

Yeah and with an extensions limitation and like even less features than the standard. Or else it becomes the perfect edition for most companies.

Now Free is the rule if you revert to paid system it will be a revolution.

It's quite simple. People who are serious enough or have a decent company which 3CX would benefit from, will need more features thus buy the PRO or ENT.

People who got for the free licenses would most probably go for another product if 3CX didn't have free license. So why lose market share and also the opportunity to have people "review" it in case they like it? The more people using the product the more exposure for 3CX, no matter if customers pay for it or not (of course considering that not ALL customers are on free licenses).

I totally support the idea of having a free license and not only that, I believe that the 40 day PRO trial is just perfect. Those interested in buying the product can test drive it for free! Those who might have been going for the free, could change their mind after using the PRO and switch instead.

My initial asking is not that, it is why not increasing level to 8SC for customers who paid 4Sc and continue to pay for annual or mainteance and stay stuck to 4SC and have in front of them free license up to 8SC

Emm how are they stuck? They can upgrade at any time. Also, when 3CX upgraded the free trial to 16SC there were people on the forum that were asking to downgrade to an 8SC!! Even though it was free! Go figure.

Perhaps , but we are not in 3CX papers to know how many free licenses are in use VS paid, and how many are converted to commercial when started in Free.

they are not stuck , of course they can upgrade, but not for free, this is what I consider unfair, one real customer giving 3CX money has less than one giving nothing, you don't find something strange ?

So what do you suggest for old 4SC users?
Upgrade them for "free" to 8SC and then what?
a) They pay the same money? That would be unfair for other 8SC users
b) Get first year free as 8SC and then pay for 8SC? They would complain as they could have updated themselves to 8SC if they wanted and pay more.

They chose 4SC because that fits their workload (at least back then - 4SC is no longer available). They stay at 4SC and pay money by choice. Even if 3CX were to upgrade them to 8SC they would still use 4. Otherwise they would have upgraded.

Closing, I would like to point out that 3CX is value for money the best PBX. You CANNOT get the same features on any commercial PBX for such a low price. If a company cannot afford 200-300$ A YEAR for their telephone system then...

For sure and i'm sorry for that, we are not on same frequency, we have opposite point of view , I don't want any dispute on any subject with anybody, just wanted to say if now 3CX has his commercial ground level set to 8SC and 8SC is given for free lifetime , then why not giving everybody lower than 8SC the same ground level .

In the opening of this thread i had positive feelings in mind , more i read,and feel all tensions and nervous reactions as yours i'm thinking now i should have better done to shut up
