Hi all
This issue has been reported few times and its description is following:
- in the Preferences dialog, a specific audio device is set (other than "Primary" one)
- exit 3CXphone
- on next start, 3CXPhone seems to ignore the choosen specific device, using instead the "Primary" one.
All reports were related to pluginable audio devices, such as those of headsets.
We just found the reason: some audio devices may reports their names having several blank characters appended. In the case revealing the issue, 3CXPhone saved and then checked [C-Media USB Headphone Set], but system report its name as [C-Media USB Headphone Set ] (two blanks appended). Since the preferred one is not found - due to these spaces - 3CXphone choose the "Primary" one.
Next release will have this issue fixed. Until then, 3CXphone will not be able to use this device.
