Solved Auto Log out from queues doesn't work

Hi,

I have set specific office hours to 2 extensions with the option "Log out from queues" enabled for away and DND status, the change of state (from available to away and from available to dnd) works fine but it doesn't work the auto logout from the queues because the extensions remain logged in the queues.

Anyone know if there is anything i can check to figure out the reason behind this strange behaviour?

Ps i'm on 3CX Linux version 15.5.13103.5

Where are you checking the status of the extension. Have you checked the extension is not receiving calls.

Please note that since your global Queue status is "Logged In" this will not change when the extension is set to Do Not Disturb. You will see your status changing in the Switchboard / Queue manager however and the extension will stop taking calls

Please note that while the extension will switch status and will get logged out from the Queue this will only be visible through the switchboard of a 3CX client. The management console and the Q button of the extensions 3CX client will still show as logged in. With that in mind please check that the extension cannot receive calls through the queue when on DND.

Hi @YiannisH_3CX i checked and you were right, the extensions log out from the queues as i set, now i wonder why from the management console i still see the extensions logged in instead of logged out from the queues as i see on the 3CX Client.
Because this behavior generates a lot of confusion as in my case.

Glad to see that the extensions log out as intended. Think of the way this works as the PBX having 2 statuses for Queues. It's the global status and the explicit status.
The global status can be controlled either through the management console or through the "Q" button on the client.
When you extension goes to DND the PBX uses the explicit logout to log you out of all queues. This overrides the global setting so if someone tries to log you out and then back in through the management console you will not be logged in as you are still on DND. So although your are logged out of the queue because your status changed your global queue status is still Logged In.
