I've been searching for information on automatically setting presence in the Windows or Web app. I found an older thread saying the windows app had a setting to change auto presence. The image appears to be an older version of 3CX and I can't find those settings in the current version.

I'd be interested in any information regarding how presence works in 3CX. We're currently using a combo of desk phones, web app, windows app, and android. Thanks!

The legacy Windows client has a feature in it to put the status to Away after inactivity. The new DesktopApp currently doesn't have that feature tho.

As for in general, there are 5 statuses:
- Available
- Away
- DND
- Available 2
- Do Not Disturb 2

The Available and DND are used for auto-switch feature of the system (which can put the user into the status for in/out of office hours.)

Then, from the Webclient, DesktopApp and mobile apps, you can also set a status temporarily for a specific period of time, after which it reverts back to the previous status.

To add what @ConceptsWeb mentioned, the Away status will also automatically be set during break times.

The automatic features are great. But the issue really is Users DO NOT use it. They forget or don't care.

In large environments, it is really helpful if the windows/mac clients could set the status as "away" when users step away or go to lunch for unscheduled breaks after x minutes of no PC activity.

We really need the feature brought back in the new v18 client or some way to offload this task from the user.

As this is not currently possible with the 3CX Desktop App, I'd recommend taking a look in our Ideas Section to see if anyone else posted a similar feature request and upvote it.
