Hello, i have found some old threads where this was discussed and the problem after implementing it was that if a software hangs calls were lost. This can be avoided if there is a own status "shortly away" or someshing like this. We are using the 3cx in a manufacturing company, it is quite often that our technicans are in the production and not on their desk. Always changing status should not be the way it should be handled today... Theay are locking their windows and then the status "shortly away" can be activated - only if the 3cx application is running. The former CTI-Solution the customer was using did this that way. Even if the call handling in this state is the same like available it is a big advantage if if the receptionist sees that the person is not at the desk....
