Hi All,

I have a question regarding 1 particular custom setting beeing deleted/removed from my HTEK phones after 24 hours by 3CX itself. (24h reprovision by 3CX)
The full setup of the phones is done via 3CX mgm console with all the settings and BLF Keys -> Auto Provision

Though 1 setting is not managable from 3CX and therefor did this manually, unfortunately his setting is removed every 24h.
See attachment for the setting info which i'd like to turn OFF.

By all means if anybody knows how to work around this issue I would like to know :)
Any advice is welcome.

Hi @PimvanD

Some settings are not configurable from the management consoled, but must still be provisioned as per the manufacturer's templates using <P1300> and this is provisioned as "0" by default.

Hi JohnS,

Thank you for your answer.
If I understand correctly besides the configuration via the "phone provsioning" from a particular extension in the 3CX mgm console, the template is also used for other settings which are not covered by the "phone provisioning" tab from that extension.

So if I change <P1300 para="Preference.KeypadDTMFTone">0</P1300> to 1 in the htek.ph.xml it will be provisioned with everything else?

It should work yes. Just keep in mind that we do not provide support for systems with modified templates, although we understand that some people might need to do so. The following link can describe how to use them. If we release new templates in the future, your custom ones will not be updated, but you can recreate them based on the newer version if needed in the future.

https://www.3cx.com/docs/custom-ip-phone-templates/

Thanks for the info @JohnS_3CX I will have a go with it and see if it solves my issue!

You're welcome! Just remember to recreate the custom template in the future if you see us release a new update for Htek.

In case you face any issues in the future, also remember to reprovision your phone using our default template and see if the problems are caused by any changes you made to your custom templates.

Check check double check!
