Background static; phone pair specific

We are running 3CX 15.5.0 for a company of 30 using Yealink T42G handsets. It's been brought to my attention that certain users in the office have consistent background static (sort of a whooshing sound). The interesting thing is that the issue only occurs between certain users. A handful of users also have the issue when calling outside the office.

Narrow down who the "certain" users are. What do they have in common, or what is different about their devices compared to the ones not having the issue.... location on the network, firmware, handset/headset...etc.

Try swapping out sets with one that does not have the problem, does the noise follow the set, or stay with the extension number?
