Backup started / completed / failed notification in Event Logs

Is there a reason why there is no backup event logged when in Low?

Does it appear in any of the logging? It would be handy that at a low it would report a simple started/failed/complete notification excluding the email.

Does it appear in any of the logging?

There should be some information in the Management Console Log if:
1. Logging is set to at least "Low".
2. The backup was manually triggered from the Management Console.

There should be some information in the System Service Log if:
1. Logging is set to at least "Medium".
2. The backup was triggered due to a scheduled backup task.
