Just 2 weeks ago we could set a 4Mbp/s bandwidth, now the max is 1.5Mbp/s. Why was this changed. It is a significant and problematic reduction in quality for our use case.

This was a temporary measure due to the high demands that occured recently.

Please note you can stay updated about this by visiting https://status.3cx.net/ so you can see changes and when they happen.

Bitrate will be increased in the next few days. Could you let us know from what region you're using WebMeeting? We can attempt to increase it for your region sooner.

Hi,

We connect thru the Oregon MCU.

Thank you.

FYI 3CX reported a 300% increase in webmeeting usage, and as I recall it was for about 2 weeks ago, over the prior week. Likely it increased again last week.

300% is nothing :)

Could you also please look at increasing capacity of the Sydney MCU?

As a school in Australia we have experienced a significant degradation of WebMeeting performance this recent week. I'm worried that this platform will not be sufficient for delivering online classes in its current state.

I see lots of new Oregon MCUs, and in the initial Meeting creation stage I can choose 4Mb/s bandwidth for the "room", but inside the meeting individual participants are still limited to 1.5Mb/s. So effectively, the original limitation is still there as the inidividual bandwidth is what is used, not the "room" setting. See screen shot.

Hi there, during meeting creation in the webclient, you can set your meetings to 4Mbps. Inside the client it's still limited and we're working on quickly fixing this.

Make sure you clear your cache if you don't see the new settings. They've been deployed.
