There are 2 types of exiting application: EXIT and EXIT ignoring PUSH.

If you don’t EXIT the application when not used, but simply put into background, it will drain significantly the battery of the phone, like it is active all the time. Normal EXIT should allow client to be awaken on receiving PUSH notifications.

This problem should be fixed somehow, as exiting manually the client, after each usage of the application / bringing into focus is rather boring.

I've tested this behavior with several different Android phones -- Samsung, Sony and LG.

This was one of the benefits of the green dot at the top of the screen, in the previous releases of the client. It reminded you that you had left the 3CX client open causing higher battery usage.
I am always in the habit of using "Exit".

Yes, I fully agree. CSIP simple is not draining battery, when left on standby.
