Being discontinued, or otherwise missing links?

I noticed when sending the welcome emails, since updating to v16.x recently, that the link for downloading the windows desktop client is missing. Is this something that's configurable that I am missing?

I believe 3CX has said the Windows client is not being developed, in favor of the Chrome extension and web client.
There was another recent thread pointing out the QR code is missing from the email as well, compared to last summer at least, so they may have made other changes recently.

That's what I had heard, I came here to check it... A bit of a shame really, that ties people down to certain configurations of their computer (e.g. which browser they use) and frankly the desktop client seemed far more powerful to me than the chrome extension/web client.

The links are going back in Update 5. It was never the intention to discontinue a windows softphone but rather make the client more like a softphone. That said, in update 5 we have put a lot of work into the current Windows client - updating its librabries, fixing issues and making it more efficient, with a view to keeping it as a client for the coming years.

I'm blown away by this Nick - the test user's when I looked at 3cx two years ago much preferred the windows app to the webclient. I understand why the webclient is attractive from a developer's PoV - but I'd hate to see the windows app disappear.

If I could just get the live chat working properly with the windows app I'd be a happy man

This is absolutely awesome news!

We suspended offering our CRM plugins because it was unclear (at least to us) whether 3CX Phone for Windows would continue to be supported and receive updates in the future.

• Do you plan to continue to support CRM plugins for 3CX Phone for Windows?
  
  
• Will you be re-releasing the former 3CX CRM plugins?
  
  
• Do you plan to have feature-parity between the web and Windows clients?
  
  
• Should we start developing new CRM plugins for 3CX Phone for Windows?

On a related subject:

• Would it be possible to get an API for adding features to any of the clients? Perhaps a custom slide-out panel for 3CX Phone for Windows? Or a custom link in the left panel of the web client? We regularly get requests to add functionality to these clients.

Windows Client or it's link are still not being listed in 16.0.5.612 (Final) or Welcome Page its associated PDF. Really would be nice to have until web client gets BLF (and Kuanodo drivers)
