Hello,

The BeroNets in our installation make too many DNS queries.
Is this because of 3cx? Can this be changed?

Each BeroNet has 16 activated ports (such as elevator alarm, opening a gate, faxes)
Each of these ports make queries every 20 seconds on our Domain = 16 ports x 3 x 60 x 24 x4(BeroNet devices) = 276.480 times per 24 hours.
The queries look like this:
Code:
Sep  9 12:05:03 dnsmasq[]: query[A] domain from ____
Sep 9 12:05:03 dnsmasq[]: cached domain is ____

Is there a setting that reduces the time interval of the time queries from 20 sec to something else?

does it resolve the 3CX IP or something else in your domain?
can it be that this DNS entry has a very low TTL and it must be re-querried?

Hello,

Yes, it resolves the 3cx IP.
Is there a default TTL for 3cx? Are we able to change this?

Well, since the gateway must be local to the 3CX PBX and you're using an fqdn instead of 3CX's local IP, it must mean that you have a local DNS. If that's the case, then it is your DNS server that determines the TTL.

Updating the thread with the solution:
BeroNet gui - Sip - Sip - Advanced - Keepalive-Interval --> No-validate.
According to the BeroNet support, this feature can be set to "No-validate" without any repercussions.
