Postage meter dials out to load postage. I think meter is using DTMF to talk to other end but I cannot get them to talk to each other.
If I specified G.711a in SPA112, when it dials out in 3CX, will it use that codec?
I read that someone got it working by disabling echo cancellation globally aside from "Fax Disable ECAN" setting on the adapter.

What is your actual setup for the tests ? Maybe you could first try with a supported device as a beronet and see how it goes.

Postage meter works by toggling the line to a modem using *99.
However, it has to use direct connection to SIP provider and bypass 3CX.
What is the difference between direct connection via SIP provider vs 3CX?

Hello guys !

A customer wants to keep few analog phones so I'm thinking to put a Beronet. The 3CX is cloud-based and on site there is a SBC with 15 phones.

Is it possible to connect the Beronet through the SBC ?

Merry Christmas :D
Hi INDY_Mathieu,

I have pretty similar case, a customer want to keep a analog doorphone and the 3CX will be cloud-based.
I plan to use a Beronet FXS to connect the analog doorphone.

If i undestand, i can follow this https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/beronet-fxs-extension/ and just replace the 3CX IP by the local SBC IP?

I undestand that is not supported by 3CX, but does it works well?

@Sébastien_AXONE I have done something similar but with a Patton FXS gateway.

Patton's contain a lot more features and settings (beroNet are quite basic) and there is not much difference in price so if you haven't purchased the unit yet I would look at a Patton.

In regards to the setup however it would be recommended to use a VPN connection to the cloud - if your provider supports this feature (gateways via SBC and remote STUN are currently un-supported by 3CX).
