Hi Everyone, I am seeking wisdom on how to set this up for a receptionist at a school

Basically, she needs to access 2 separate voicemails from her extension

On the digital receptionist, you are asked to press 1 to leave a student absence message and press 2 to leave a staff absence message

She wants to keep them seperate so that they are not all consolidated in the same voicemail queue.

Ideally she needs a visual confirmation of when there is a voicemail in either box

How would I go about setting this up?

Her handset is a Yealink T46s she also has the desktop app

Thanks

Best solution without using custom templates - which are not supported

Ivr option 1 route voicemail to the phone extension voicemail - you will get a indication on the phone - depending on the setup of the voicemail under the extension

Option 2 - send an email there Iis a voicemail of a dummy extension

To check your voicemail from any phone in your office:

Pick up the handset and dial “999”.
Press “#”.
You will be asked to enter your extension number, type in your extension number.
You will then be asked for your voicemail PIN number. Type in your voicemail PIN number then press ”#”.
Follow the voice prompts to check or delete your voicemails.

Just want to add that if the user wants to keep voicemails in two separate vmboxes there is no other option but two use two separate extensions for each vmbox. That said, the options provided by @Saqqara are the only supported ways to allow a user to access more than one vmbox.

If you would use the email you could simply set the receptionist email on both of these "voicemail extensions" so that they are both sent to the same address. I guess you could then set a rule on the email client to automatically separate them into two different folders depending on the contents. There is a line that says "To: <EXT#>" where <EXT#> is the extension number who received the voicemail.

Other than the above, the most obvious solution would be to provide the receptionist with webclient access for these two extensions.
