What is the best way to configure 7 and 10 digit dialing?

Option 1:
Should I do it in the Outbound Rules by creating 1 rule for calls to numbers with a length of 7 and a 2nd rule for calls to number with a length of 10?

Option 2:
Should I do it under Trunks -> Caller ID -> Reformat Incoming and Outgoing Caller -> Outbound. Then change the Outbound Parameters -> Request Line URI : User Part to "OriginatorCallerID"

Option 3:
Do you know of a better way?

Thanks!

Option 1 is how I would recommend you do it.

I would also go for option 1. Its the easiest and gives you more control if you want to change something in the future.

Get people used to dialing all 10 digit numbers. If you are in North America, it will soon be this way for all calls, given the shortages of new numbers in some areacodes.

I'm actually surprised that 7 digit dialing is still allowed in some areas. I assume it is with PSTN providers.
