Hi,
I added some numbers in "Settings -> Blacklisted Numbers" because I keep getting unwanted automated calls from these numbers on a daily basis. Unfortunately this does not have the desired effect of declining these calls. Instead they are redirected to my mobile phone.

I now figured out, that this is caused by the backup routing that I have set up on my SIP-Account.
My SIP provider is Easybelle and I have configured that it should redirect calls to my mobile phone in case the 3CX server is offline for some reason. Seems like blacklisted numbers are taking this route.

It's not a big problem. As a workaround I could block numbers directly on the Easybelle costumer portal. However it would be nice to be able to manage this directly in 3CX. Any suggestions, how to get this working? Probably should somehow change the status code that will be sent to the provider.

We had this with Flowroute - 3cx identified the issue in an update and fixed it. Hopefully they will be able to fix this for you as well if using an approved carrier.

Well, Easybelle is an approved carrier. That is part of the reason, why I am using it.^^
Also according to this document, they seem to have a support cooperation. So, yes, hopefully they will be able to fix it.

So, what condition is 3CX sending back to your provider, that causes them to believe that your server is off-line? I assume that it had recently registered or a call would not have been sent. Is it a ring time-out threshold that is reached, causing the call to be forwarded to the mobile? Is there a rejection message sent? If so, that should not trigger a re-direct as, if the server sent a message, it is obviously not down, it simply refuses the call.

It was my impression that a blocked number simply rang, until the caller gave up

I don't know what exactly 3CX is sending. The activity log only says the following:
Code:
[Flow] Call(C:1153): caller's number '0151123456789' is in blacklist
And the call is instantly redirected to the number that I have configured as backup route. If the number is not on the blacklist, it will of course ring normally on the configured 3CX extension (so no error with registration).
That's all the information I have at the moment.

Hello @mamo

Please note that when a number is added to the blacklist the PBX will send the provider a 603 Decline message which as per RFC means that the callee's machine was successfully contacted but the user explicitly does not wish to or cannot participate.
So the provider should not assume that the PBX is offline and should not redirect the call to the backup route. Easybell needs to fix this.
Unfortunately there is not a lot we can do regarding this as their service works correctly with our PBX and we do not get a re-invite. If this is something that is configured through their costumer portal you will need to contact them to try and resolve it.
