Hi guys,

Today, our PBX rebooted in the Cloud because of a provider issue (VM moved to new host) and when our SBC came back up, phones registration came alright but BLF did not reappear, they are still off (unavailable).

I suppose rebooting the SBC would fix it but normally it shouldn't be an issue. What could cause this?

Grandstream phones I'm guessing? :P I don't think I've seen this issue with Yealink phones.

Actually, funny part, my Yealink T46S is affected too.

The Grandstream one does it too but I am not surprised!

Hmm. Well I don't know that I've restarting our PBX lately and I'm going to be in the office the rest of the week but I'll see if I can reboot it tomorrow sometime and ask someone in the office to check.

Hi, provisioning is working with no problem? no long delay between pushing provision button on MC and provision start on phone?
It seems to me i've already had similar problem in recent past and in memory i've just reprovision phones perhaps 2 times before it came back working with all BLF set as they do

Yes, I had this issue too, couldn't reprovision, the phone never received the NOTIFY.

HOWEVER, after looking at my logs after rebooting the SBC/phones, here's what I saw:
The '' feature is disabled in currently activated licenseBLF

Since when is this possible?

So I simply refreshed the license and BLF started to work again.

@YiannisH_3CX Why would it do that?

you refreshed licence info in dashboard?

Yeah, under Settings -> License. Just clicked "Refresh License Info" and BLFs came back.

If the PBX was unable to communicate with the activation server at some point for any reason then the PBX would have switched to the "FREE" version. Once you refresh the licence key all features came back.

It's technically already a "FREE" version. It's a V16 Std 8SC.

In case the PBX cannot activate against the activation server it has an internal "FREE" version if falls back to. To get the Std 8SC features the PBX needs to be activated .

I think what they are trying to say is there is a FREE mode that the system reverts to when there is no communication with the activation server vs the free Standard Edition license you are referring that that requires activation server communication.
