My 3CX phone system is connecting with PSTN and Skype Connect. Some of the call out need caller ID block. It couldn't work on SPA303, the call drops when I dial the 'star code' before the dial no. Is it the problem as I set an outbound rule for local call " calls to number with the lenghth of x". Should I keep it clean on my outbound rule?

Many gateways have a problem handling the * and # as sent from 3CX. If you are in North America, substitute 11in place of the * (so send 1167) preceding the number you are calling to block your number. The 11+code is used with rotary phones but will work on tone lines as well.

You can create two types of outbound rules, with the second having a preceding digit, like an 8. In this one, just prepend the 1167. Then when you want to block your number, just begin the number with an 8. Or use whatever digit(s) you want.
