Blocking 911 from Student Extension

Hello All,

We have a phone in our elementary office that's only used during school hours by students to call their parents. Unfortunately, we've had two students decide to call 911 from that phone. Our SROs are not very happy about that. So, is it possible to block 911 from that extension only? Do the Emergency rules have priority over the Outbound Rules?

Hello Bobby,
Have you tried to limit the emergency rule to be used by a specific extension or specific department?
This can be found under Admin Console > System > Emergency

Hi Bobby,

May be create an outbound rule for the mentioned extention and 911 dailed. As a bennefit you are able to redirect the call to the principal? So you know who is doing that, and if it is a real emergency the principal can dail 911
