Bracketed content being dropped

I'm working on a CRM integration and the GET request string includes "[default]".
The string should look like this:
https://xxxxxxxxx/index.php?r=pbx/token=xxxxxxxx&number[default]=+123456789
I created the integration using the wizard and pasted in the string. But looking at the 3cxSystemService.log I can see the url looks like this:
https://xxxxxxxxx/index.php?r=pbx/token=xxxxxxxx&number=+123456789
and doesn't trigger the CRM.
What can I do to ensure it includes "[default]" ?

Brackets need to be escaped, so you would need to use:
https://xxxxxxxxx/index.php?r=pbx/token=xxxxxxxx&number{{default}}=+123456789
