Bridge transfers

I have set up a bridge that works. Call forwarding to a remote location bridged voip phone works when inbound calls come from the pstn through a gateway. Call forwarding to the same remote location bridged voip phone does not work when inbound calls originate from a voip trunk. Error message is that the device is unsupported. How can it be unsupported when calls to it work through the pstn gateway?
