Since the last update we have 3 bridged PBX's that when the client calls an extension on a bridged PBX it changes from the bridge number to the local user on their pbx as contact. This makes them feel they have dialled the incorrect person. It is as thou it is removing the prefix number from the contact across the bridge. This is a self hosted PBX 18.0 (Build 935) on a professional license. Has something changed in a recent update that means i need to modify how they can call someone across the bridge and keep the right contact. IE User 1 on loacl PBX ext 111 and user on remote bridge 4111 when they call 4111 it shows they are calling 111

Hi @commercial1 if both systems are using the same extension range you have to set the prefix in the bridge configuration, so if you share the presence across the systems, then this prefix is shown on everyone receiving the presence.

On both systems you will need to create an outbound rule using this prefix and removing it in the selected route.

That’s what we have always been doing but since two updates ago it shows the contact on the local pbx as the rule removes the prefix so person failed shows on local pbx . Was working fine for 3 years before two updates ago

when dialing an external number using a prefix and it is stripped in the outbound rule, then if the call fails/is not established the call history will show the dialed number with the prefix, and if the call is completed successfully then the call history shows the dialed number without the prefix.

is this what you say?

Yes that’s what I see but the issue is not call history, on the users client they dial 4111 to speak to Fred on the briged pbx then on their client it shows they are calling anne on 111 as it’s stripped the 4 off so it confuses them as they think they have dialed the wrong person.
