Good Day,

We have two SIP trunks attached to our 3CX, but I saw the "Trunks up" SIP counter on the dashboard is at 3/4. Only thing I can think of is the bridge I set up between our 3CX and branch office 3CX is one of those.

If a bridge is considered a SIP Trunk and we are licensed to have a maximum of four, how do I (eventually) interconnect all five of our offices together through 3CX bridges and still maintain a SIP Trunk to the outside world?

Thanks.

Hi leejor,

I saw that page earlier. It only shows that SIP trunks are supported in each version, not the maximum number. Indeed, I can't find any reference to max numbers per version.

We have an Enterprise license and a max of four trunks according to this:

That's two SIP trunks and one 3CX bridge.

The only version, that I was aware of, that had any trunk limitation, was the "free" version, a while back. In that, you were limited to one trunk group.
Have you tried creating additional trunks? If there were a limitation, you would be prevented from doing so.

Perhaps that "counter" indicates that 4 trunks exist, but only 3 are in service (registered?).

No, two trunks are in use and one active bridge.

There is a second 3CX bridge to another office, but it is currently down as the other end is not configured yet.

(FOREHEAD SLAP) I just realized what it could be.

OK, I just went to our other 3CX server and saw it was Trunks up 5/5. Three SIP trunks, two bridges. I added another slave bridge (inactive) and it went to 5/6. "Trunks up" on the dashboard is a dynamic field and not a hard limit unlike everything else on there. Add a SIP or bridge connection and the numbers increase.

Actually the only thing that is not dynamic up "there" is the max number of active calls.
The first part of that cell is dynamic, and the number of extensions is dynamic.

Glad to see the solution to the issue was found. Please note that there is no limit to the amount of SIP trunks you can add to an installation.
