I have been trying for a week to get this system to work with broadvoice. I am running remotely on a 1and1 VPS. I also host an old exlastix 2.5 box that is running without issue. Both are set to use IP authentication and I confirmed multiple times with broadvoice that they have the correct IP address.

Here is the configuration that is working with Elastix 2.5
host=2206.15.130.13
type=peer
context=from-trunk
disallow=all
allow=ulaw&alaw
dtmfmode=rfc2833

Since the configuration is completely different with 3cx I have filled out the IP address, port number and trunk phone number. Not sure what else I can do.

I dont know how to wire capture from a VPS

Hi @dwofford, I have used broadvoice for many years but authenticating with username and password.

The server IP looks weird though. Are you sure it is correct?

Best.

Hey ignore the first "2" in the ip address, i just put that in the front to knock my old server off line. I forgot to remove it for this post.

I guess I will call them to see if I can get a username / password. I had been using ip authentication.

Hello @dwofford

Please note that the supported service of Broadvoice is their IP based trunk. So if you are using the template included in the PBX have in mind that is set for the IP based service.
So i would contact broadvoice and see if they see anything strange on their side that might be preventing the operation of the trunk before switching to an auth based trunk.
