Solved Broken installer screen with debian on ESXI 6.5

Dear community,

we're facing problems on installing 3cx via debian netinstall on a ESXI 6.5 system.
The system is: ESXi-6.5.0-20180502001-standard (VMware, Inc.)
The installer sceen does only shows garbage in step 2.

We see the grub menu, where we can choose between the different options and select install.
We now expect the regular installer, but the installer window is broken.

I've attached two screenshots.

What we already tried:
- bios / uefi mode
- different browsers and vmrc tool
- different setting on the graphic device

Windows Server machines and a "normal" debian netinstaller work without problems.

I'm running out of ideas.

Solved it by advanced googling:

We were installing on a Vmware 6.5 with latest ISO for 16.
After requesting Install - would go to gray screen.
THis was a Dell with A01 and a Build starting with 82xxxxx.
Updated to A01 with Build starting *(xxx and able to then install with no issuus.
Hopefully this will help someone if the "Gray" screen happens.
