BT branded yealinks

Hey all

Does anyone know if we can factory reset and use these bt branded yealnks? Just wondered if its custom firmware thats all.

I have reset BT branded Polycoms before without issue (no custom firmware) what I would be careful of though is if they have a provisioning link/RPS link embedded as it will revert to this every-time.

You could ask BT to remove the MAC addresses off their RPS server - Though they may ask for proof of purchase on the phones.

I am not saying 100% this is the case, you maybe lucky (like I was with my Polycoms) however any settings purely depend on where they came from as I know from my own experiences that BT use loads of different vendor platforms and PBX types.

thanks everyone, suppose we would need to check with the end customer that they own the phone and then talk with BT to remove. appreciated.
