I don't want global / trunk-wide office hours. I'm setting office hours per outbound rule. As soon as I set office hours per outbound rule, these are automatically also set to the used Trunk by 3CX. When I then go to that trunk and unset those by unticking the office hours box, the custom outbound rules office hours for that trunk are then silently automatically unset.

Seems like a bug to me? As according to the docs (and common sense), the outbound rules office hours should override Trunk office hours so you can set custom office hour for several outbound rules that use the same trunk.

Anyone else with this issue and/or a workaround? Running latest version on hosted.

Hi @tymen,

I believe you're talking about inbound rules?

With regards to inbound rules, specific DIDs set to use specific office hours in their inbound rule settings will take precedence over the SIP Trunk specific office hours. What you see in the SIP Trunk settings is what is set up for the first DID inbound rule that you. The second and subsequent DID inbound rules will still be adhered to prior to the SIP Trunk office hours.

Sorry for the confusion, indeed I meant inbound rules where I wrote outbound rules above.
Thanks for your response. However, I'd like to set specific office hours per DID (as our international offices each have their own DID and their own opening hours), without these applying to outbound calling. We do need to be able to setup outbound calls outside of office hours. But now, as you confirmed, the trunk automatically gets the office hours from the first inbound rule, applying them to outbound calls as well.

How can I keep outbound open 24/7 while appling different opening hours per DID/Inbound rule?

Hi @tymen,

I see, in order to have seperate hours for each DID and the SIP Trunk, select a different DID for the main trunk number (remove specific office hours) and then set your up your DIDs with your operating hours as you'd like. The SIP will take its hours off of the main trunk number you've given it. The different DIDs will follow their specific office hours.

Sorry not sure if I 100% understand.
You mention to remove the specific office hours at the trunk, and then setup the DIDs with their individual operating hours. The way to do that is through inbound rules right? (as I don't want these office hours to apply to outbound calls). But when I do that, they will be automatically written to the Trunk, therefore will apply to outbound calls?

Hi again,

Rather create DID inbound rules for your offices set with specific office hours, but don't create a DID rule for the main trunk number. This way the main trunk number will not have the same specified office hours as any inbound rules specified office hours.

All clear, many thanks for your quick help! So they key is the Main Trunk No, as 3CX will automatically mirror its Trunk office hours with the inbound rule for this Main Trunk No / DID. My workaround for this: I now just setup a non-used DID as Main Trunk No and actual DIDs are only setup in the Trunk DIDs tab so I don't have my inbound rule office hours mess around with my trunk office hours.
