Call contact with extension

Hello, is there a way / structure in the web client to create a contact in the directory that when the contact is called, it can also dial it's extension?

I asked for this 3 or 4 years ago but for an iOS app. I was told that this is not a necessary function.

What do you mean by "it also dials its extension" ?

I want to set the directory contacts to allow to cal call direction (xxx) xxx - xxxx and also dial the user's extension

When using your cellphone, you can usually set xxx-xxx-xxxx;466 with the;466 been the extension and it will dial it automatically.

This is great if you have multiple contacts with extensions, it can dial both the number and extension

Oh, so basically, you need Pause support! I think that was requested a while ago but never implemented.
