If anyone needs a way to delve into their Call Data Records [CDR's] and wants a ready made solution then you will find a new version of my own Windows based 3CX CDR analysis software here
This is a complete rework since my previous version and of course operates with either Debian or Windows based PBX's. I'd like to think that it enables analysis of just about any CDR scenario, from simple 'what should my trunk provider bill be' up to more complex like 'show me all calls from extension xxx where there was no billing code used'. It's a really resource light program, no external dependencies, easily installed/uninstalled (works nicely in a VM too should you be cautious!) and with a new quick way to correctly configure 3CX. So feel free to try it out, hopefully you'll find it useful!
As with all software applications, it's often useful to read the instructions to really get the best out of the program!
The key features are:
• A near real-time display of all call details as they are completed.
• Overview of PBX call activity with summaries of total calls made in different timeframes.
• Exact cost of calls displayed using both 3CX reported data as well as internally calculated.
• Built-in billing engine uses most common charging methods including call duration, fixed cost per call, duration rounding and minimum cost or duration.
• Running total of call costs for each 3CX trunk [usually outgoing to a VoIP provider] displayed as either an account balance or as the cost of the calls made since a user selected date.
• Filtering, extraction & viewing of call details using multiple search parameters with customisable reporting formats.
• Report outputs in CSV format for beautification in Excel or (with more features like column totals) in text format ready for viewing.
• Ability to apply charges to internal (extension to extension), bridged 3CX calls or other fixed length dial strings if desired.
• Maximum simultaneous call count calculator.
• Archiving of 3CX CDR’s into daily or monthly files for additional backup.
• Inspection of CDR raw data and charging data for any call of interest.
• Data backup with auto rollback & restoration from CDR’s in event of PC problems.
• Works with 3CX system running under either Windows or Debian operating systems.
• A lightweight ‘minimum install’ program that is extremely fast using minimal system resources.
• All this achieved without any ‘hooks’ into 3CX internals – only uses Call Data Records [CDRs].
For those who may be using a previous version of my software, you need to back up your data before upgrading.
