Hi,

I've scoured the forums, but haven't come across anything that seems to point me in the right direction. We currently have an on premise hosted version of 3CX V18 and are currently in the process of changing SIP carriers. We are heavy users of the call forwarding to mobiles from 3CX to our DID's from external callers. Our existing SIP trunking carrier seems to handle this correctly, however the new one requires that we set this information in a "Diversion Header" instead of currently where we just forward the external parties caller ID through.

From a search it appears that there's a Call Reflection (302) in the Away status, but how do we use this for the "Available" or "DND" statuses?

Currently if we use the existing config from our previous carrier, it just states "Spoofed-From-URI detected" in the 3CX call logs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To confirm the Call flow:

External Caller ID -> 3CX DID -> Mobile (with External Caller ID presented to Mobile).

Hi, the call deflection 302 will only work using DND or Away status. When using available status there is a ring time out and if the user does not answer it will use the forwarding the rules.

In order to use the call deflection 302 with DND or Away status you have to set an external number as forwarding rule and enable the call deflection.

This will work for direct dialing, I mean the external call must enter directly to the user extension without passing through an ivr, ring group or call queue.

You should ask your voip provider if they support this kind of deflections 302.

Have a nice day!

Thanks, I think our carrier does support it from what they were saying, but alas a test of it didn't seem to make much difference. We might have to try and do some additional troubleshooting and see if we can get it worked out.
