Call divert to mobile:
Customer does not only want to the the original Caller ID, their first interest is if the call comes via call divert from office or direct. So I set the clip to the number of the office.
But better would be, I could set the clip to the number the caller called, then, the callee will have better information, then just the central office number, but also the extension information.
Example: office number is: +4088888-0, extension is 20. Currently I can only set the clip to +40888880 not to +408888820
Even better, If could concatenate the number the caller called with the original caller ID and then set that as clip for the call divert. Example:
Caller has the number +401111111 and office number is: +4088888-20 the clip which will be sent would be +408888820401111111
Can one of these or both be done with 3CX?

Have not seen anything that allows the merge two caller ID fields, other than modifying incoming caller ID on a per-trunk basis. You could suggest that, as a feature, in the Ideas forum.

How many extensions do they have forwarded to their number? Generally, it is only one, perhaps two.

Hello @nobody

You can generally send the originator caller ID of the person who is calling or the caller ID of either the main trunk number of the extensions outbound caller ID depending on what the provider allows and the configuration of your trunk. You cannot merge the 2 numbers to be displayed as one and even if you could the provider would most likely not accept it.
Theoretically though you could send the originator caller ID in the From: Display Name and the outbound caller ID to the From: user part but again most providers read the caller ID from only one SIP field.
