In the process of upgrading to 3CX, we had one number that couldn't be ported from Charter to our SIP provider. No problem: We just got a new number and then the day of the changeover we set up call forwarding on the Charter number to forward to the SIP number. Nope. Busy signal. Tested forwarding to my cell - no problem. Called SIP provider and they THANKFULLY were familiar enough with 3CX that they told me to set up the Charter number as a DID and set up the inbound rule for that. That worked, but... WHAT?!!??!
If I have a phone number set up to call forward to a number that's in 3CX, why would I need to set up the forwarding number? Something is not right there.
If my setup is wrong, please let me know, but this seems really odd.
