hi all, got a quick question here regarding auto forwarding. I've enabled Always Forward via menu>features>call forward>Always Forwrd. I've tried forwarding to internal extersion and external numbers but no call gets forwarded. I can still see the phone rings and forward to VM after 20seconds as per user definition in the 3CX PBX console. is there a way to enable/disable the feature? It says on the phone screen that "Always Forward is enabled." but it doesnt work. would PBX settings take precedence over phone settings?

3CX is going to say to not set forwarding via IP Phone, it's unsupported. Instead set via client (web, windows, etc).

You can not enable call forwarding from a Yealink IP phone, this is disabled through the template. Use the forwarding rules within the extension settings from the management console, or setting your forwarding rules for the extension via the webclient or 3cx apps.

Yes, they do. We perfom the forwards at the extension level (not at the end point), so if you want to use forwards we recommend usiing either one of our client apps, or doing it via the management console.

#Enable or disable the always forward feature; 0-Disabled (default), 1-Enabled;
forward.always.enable = 0
#Enable or disable the busy forward feature; 0-Disabled (default), 1-Enabled;
forward.busy.enable = 0
#Enable or disable the no answer forward feature; 0-Disabled (default), 1-Enabled;
#Configure the waiting ring times before forwarding. It ranges from 0 to 20, the default value is 2.
forward.no_answer.enable = 0

Checked template and found above. I edited to 1-Enabled and the phone says "Always forward Enabled" however it didnt actually forward the calls when tested. I assume I missed something else. Any hint? cheers.

tried enabling call forwarding via the phone web page, still no good and always go to voice mail.

@JohnS_3CX the goal is to allow the users to set call forwarding themselves, directly via the phone. as per comments above from the others, is this feature not supported on 3CX, even if I edit the template? is there a way to allow such activities?

found it. it was also needed to update bw.feature_key_sync to 0. happy days.

Just keep in mind for the future that this is not supported by 3CX even if you enable it manually. The system might behave in unexpected ways, you might end up with double forwards, or the template edits may cause other issues down the line.

In case you do have any issues, I would recommend reverting back to the original setup and see if that solves it.

thansk JohnS_3CX. We might not use this at all but wanted to have the capabilities just in case. and yes noted on the recommendation. cheers.
