I need to block anonymous but only for one department. I have created a dummy extension and assigned their DID number to it. That extension's Call Forwarding settings normally forward calls to a Ring Group. I have however created an Exception that applies to Calls from Caller ID *nonymous; Received During All Hours and I'd like to forward them to an IVR which plays a message ("this number does not accept anonymous callers...") and then exits after 1 second.

I have created the IVR but it doesn't appear in the exception's Forward To dropdown list for either Extension Number or System Extension so I can't select it. I've tried putting the IVR in the same department but that didn't help.

The only way I can think of would be to give the IVR its own DID and forward the calls to that. This feels a bit clunky as it would take up 2SC. Does anyone know of any better ways of doing this?

@RobColver is the below option enabled or disabled ?

It is enabled so I guess that explains it. However, I don't really want to disable it so I think I'm stuck with forwarding to an external number.

Many thanks for pointing this setting out to me.

@RobColver disable it, set it up at the exceptions and then enable it again.

Brilliant - why didn't I think of that! Works a charm.. Thank you so much
