Hi guys I have, what I suspect is an unusual request.

So I have 4 trunks going into my system. Some users setup their call forwarding to their mobile provider.

If a call comes in from Trunk A and the user don't pick up it call forwards the call to that user's mobile number using Trunk A.

I want the system to call forward the calls that came in on Trunk A and it forward the Call using Trunk B.

Is this possible?

Kind Regards
Leo

Have you tried creating an outbound rule for calls made to the mobile number to use trunk B?

The outbound rules route the call based on 4 criteria:

Prefix: what does the number dialled start with
Length: how many digits are dialled
Extension: Who is making the call
Department: Who is making the call.

If you want your outbound calls to go to mobile phones you would need a rule that defines the prefix for the mobiles (Like 06 or 07 in your case). You will however have to select which trunk they go out from. This cannot be context based, like go out through trunk B if it is a forwarded call. The PBX doesnt differentiate. It just sees dialled number.

Your original question does not make mention as to whether the four trunks are all members of one trunk group, or four individual trunks. Keep in mind that if it is that latter, and you want all forwarded calls to use one specific trunk, then only one call will be able to forward at a time. The second one will not go through unless your outbound rules have a fail-over trunk (second route).
