Solved Call from Blacklisted Number forwared to SIP failsafe

Blacklisted phone numbers are being forwarded to my SIP failsafe number.
My SIP provider (3CX Approved) call forwards "603 declined" calls and they will not change this.
Is there a way to send a "607 unwanted" back to the SIP provider for blacklisted numbers?

The provider is VoiceMeUp.
It is not clear "when" calls are supposed to be forwarded to the failsafe. My understanding is if the call can not be processed by 3CX then if gets forwarded to the failsafe. In the DID section I have enable "Call Forward" with a 20 second ring timeout. I called them and they told me "603 - declined calls" still go through to the failsafe and that "607 - unwanted" will not get call forwarded.

This is absolutely correct. The intention of returning a "603 Decline" is to tell the sender (the provider in this case), that the call is unwanted by the system.

I don't find this a technical bug, more of a "logical" bug.
On the system where the failsafe rings, you should also put the Blacklisted numbers as well.

Anyhow, we cannot change the behavior, but an alternative idea would be to, instead of adding numbers to the Number Blacklist, you could create a CID Inbound Rule and set it to "End Call". This should return a different message to the provider.

You are correct that this is a "logical" bug. But to me it does make more sense that a blacklisted number is identified as "607-unwanted".
I did set up CID Inbound Rules but that concept seems to defeat the purpose of blacklisting numbers. Oh well.
