Hi,

I did not find, int the manual, how I can place a call in hold, using a regular phone with an ATA.

Call on hold using ATA

Which ATA are you using?

You could try [RECALL] then KEY 2 etc

If you dont have [RECALL], use the hook switch, a quick tap should do it.

If you need more help, let me know the malke/model of the ATA and I will try and help.

Call on Hold 2

Hi,

I am using a Linksys PAP-2 with a Panasonic KX-TS208LXW.

Thanks

Victor

ATA

On a connected call, the Linksys ATA may place the remote party on call.

The only way is to perform a hook-flash to initiate a three-way call, or to swap two calls during call-waiting.

Still looking - but does the hook flash, eg tap on hook do anything.
Can this feature be enabled under the setup menus?
Hold, 3Way, Conf etc?

Got one at work so Ill give it a try after holiday (4 days at Butlins!)

Graeme.

hello

These features should be configured on the ATA
Other ATAs for example can put a call on hold, by pressing the button that closes the phone on the device instantaneously instead of closing it permanently and that puts the call on hold. It depends though on your ATA. I suggest you have a look at your manual, it should describe if such functionality is available and how to tackle it.

Call on Hold 3

Hi,

I look, with attention, in the Linksys PAP-2’s manual (in fact the User Guide – there is no such thing “manual”) and I did not find any mention to “call on hold”. However, I will make some tests with the Panasonic’s (model KX-TS208LXW) buttons like flash mute pause etc..

As soon as I finish I will inform.

Regards

Hi

Can you check here

http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_CASupport_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1169083352234&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=5223437314B81

Maybe you can find what you are looking for at this link. Better than the manual for sure - :)
