Hi guys,

I've just recently started playing around with 3CX and decided to get my first extension set up and running.

I have set up an IP phone and the windows client, both can take incoming calls with no issues at all but I'm unable to make any outgoing calls

On the client I get a message 'Call failed, forbidden' and on the IP phone I just get a busy tone.

I have set up an outbound rule to allow all calls (0-9,+).

I get the below message in the activity log but I have no idea what it means;

Call or Registration to 01252856215@(Ln.10000@Gradwell Communications) has failed. 1.2.3.4 replied: 403 Access denied to SIP Trunk Out; from IP:1.2.3.4:5060

1.2.3.4 was an actual IP address starting 109.224, not sure if its safe to give out the whole address

Gradwell communications is my SIP provider.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Many thanks,

Kamil

May be a number of reasons...incorrect number format, call to a number that is disallowed (high value number), or, something else. They are forbidding the call so check with them first as it may save you some time, if they can tell you exactly what is going on.

It may even be the caller ID you are attempting to send.

Hello @Kamil123

Not sure you read our guide for Gradwell but in case you did not you can find the link below. It might help you overcome the outbound calling issues. Also make sure you are using the default template included in the PBX.
