I'm running the latest version of the Windows softphone and the calls all sound slightly muffled compared to the new WebRTC client. I've been testing the web client and calling folks and everyone I've been calling who is inside my office says I sound better than ever and asked if they can make their calls sound that good (they are all on the Windows client).
I have tweaked the windows app as best I can and have echo cancellation and silence detection turned on. I've also tried other codecs including g711 and Opus.
I know what you are thinking, why not move everyone to the Web client. We would but unfortunately if I close Chrome/Vivaldi I don't receive calls anymore and everyone is used to a dedicated app.
