Hi Everyone,

Giving 3CX a try, currently have it connected with Skyetel.

Trying out the Call Queue settings.

For now, I only have 1 DID configured. I have the DID going to an IVR. This part seems to be working great. I've set the option 1 of the IVR to transfer to a call queue, also working correctly.

The call queue only has 1 extension assigned to it, so I can see the behavior from a customer on-hold to a receptionnist standpoint.

I call from an outside line, to the IVR, and transfer to the call queue, and pick it up using the Windows-based softphone, works great.

I call simultaneously from another outside line, hit the IVR, and get dropped into the queue as well. So far, so good.

The problem is when I hang up the call on the softphone with call #1, the softphone only rings for about 2 seconds with call #2 in the queue before hanging up by itself. On call #2, I simply get "Please enter your password." on the other end.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Thanks!

Sounds like the second call is being forwarded to voicemail. You'll have to look at the activity log to confirm, as well as confirm why it's being sent to voicemail. Make sure to set it to verbose.

Good catch with the voicemail! Line #2 that I was calling from, was my cell phone.

BUT the extension in the call queue that I was using was my test extension, which had simultaneous ring activated. So I think the "voicemail" was my cell phone and not the 3CX system at all. Once I ticked off simultaneous ring, everything was fine.

I guess I should be careful not to click a bunch of items all at once to test. xD

Thanks!

Glad you got it solved!
