Hi,

New to this so sorry if silly question but we need a call q urgently.

We have hosted system with t46s yealinks.

Have set up a call queue and 2 extensions as agents but unsure how to make sure they are logged into the queue all the time.

I clicked on extensions, highlighted the extension and chose log into queue under status.

I think these extensions are only in this call queue but we do have other call queues.

Questions:

Will logging them into the call queue this way log them into every call queue or just the one they've been added to?
Will they stay logged in?

Thanks

Hi @robort,

If you log the extensions in globally via the extensions page, they will be logged in to all queues that they've been added to, but of course not ALL queues on the system which they're not apart of.

They will stay logged in, yes. However a queue manager or the extension themselves can log themselves in and out whenever they need to via the Web Client.

As a user, you can log yourself in and out of the queues (clicking it once will log you out of all queues) you're apart of by using the Q button in the WebClient as shown here:

However, you can log out of specific queues by clicking on the queue itself from the Switchboard, then clicking the Q button under the Agent's Status. This will only log them out of the specific queue selected (in my case 800 General, while remaining logged in to 801 Live Chat). This can be done by Queue managers in the exact same way.

Thats great thanks. I'm trying not to use the web client here as it will confuse them ( dont ask ).
I think they are only in 1 call q so should be ok. I see you can add login / logout to blf keys I presume that logs them into all queues as above but would be ok in this instance?

Thanks

Hi @robort,

Yes, if you're explicitly (my second picture) logged out of all queues and use the BLF key log in, it will operate globally.

The BLF button acts like the Q button at the top of the Web Client.
