Call Queues with multiple calls even through busy

Hi,

I'm trying to get it setup so that when phones are ringing from a queue, extensions can still ring each other.
I've enabled 'Accept multiple calls' on the extensions, so now it is possible for us to make ext to ext calls even if the phone is ringing because of a queue.

But, it now seems that if someone is on call that they have answered from a queue, and another extension rings it - then it rings through the headset and blocks out the sound of the person who called in.

Is there a way to set it up so that if the extension is actually busy - i.e. on a call then don't ring, but if it is just ringing then allow the call to ring as well?

You are trying to have your cake, and eat it too. If the set is ringing , it is considered busy. If you allow multiple calls, then the destination will get call waiting, if provisioned to do so. If possible, you could attempt to disable that function, on the set so that no tone would be heard.

Ah, ok - so maybe that is what I need, call waiting enabled.
I don't mind if it rings the handset - but it actually makes the ringing noise through the headset.

It would be. 3CX looks to see if it can send an Invite to the set, if so, and it does, then it is up to the set (settings) as to the behaviour.
