When enabling remote archiving of call recordings, the Archive Schedule Policy's highest available frequency is daily.

Is there any way to set the frequency to hourly, or really any arbitrary frequency?

Thanks in advance,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

As far as those options go, what you see is what you get.

There are no other options available.

Thank you John,
Is that also the case in a self-hosted scenario? I imagine the scheduled archiving is implemented as a kind of cron job that runs an archiving command. Is there really no way to run that command at my discretion?

Yes, the options in the interface are standard even for self hosted:

There is no way to run it at your discretion, and even if there was that would cause issues with the 3CX management console and make things unreliable since doing stuff manually will bypass any checks and validations that are in place to maintain stability.

What type of use case are you running into where you would need archiving to be done on a less than daily basis though?

Even on self-hosted, you get the same options. Archiving shouldn't be done more than daily as it is network intensive to upload all files. Doing that during day-use could cause call quality issues.

Thank you for your answers.
I'm a developer for a Conversational Intelligence platform, and we're considering building a 3CX integration for our clients.
The main point of the integration would be to retrieve the clients call recordings and call metadata, as real-time as possible.

What I had in mind was to get the call recordings by connecting to the clients archiving server (either FTP or google storage). But this means we will always have a 1 day delay in retrieving those recordings.

Do you have an opinion on how else we could achieve this? Building a CRM integration is not an option I think (we're not a CRM, and users can only have a single CRM integration). We could try to FTP directly into the PBX server, but that wouldn't work for any customers that use a managed solution.
