Call to other extension that i did not initiate

Hi,

i have a really random thing thats happened a couple of times and as you read this not something i can replicate.

So i am sitting at my desk on the internet, all of a sudden my phone starts calling an internal extension, entirely on its own, has anyone else had this happen, i have my system in verbose logging and just grabbed the logs, where in the logs would i find whats happened?

• Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Datacentre (My rack)
• IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware Yealink T46G
• Provisioning Method:STUN
• Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model SIP
• Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
• Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

Ok since you are using STUN it's possible that the phone is reachable by someone on the outside.

The phone is provisioned to not accept calls from foreign registrars, only calls from the PBX are acceptable. Was it making a call, or was it receiving a call for something like "100" ?

This comes down to a couple of things it can actually be a legit call like a Webclient or desktop client running on another PC, with CTI on your phone.

If you suspect foul play, you can Regenerate the extension credentials from the management console and your phone should autoprovision shortly.

i will try that, last time it happened was about 3-4 weeks ago and rang one of our sales team, i was behind SBC then.

Ok to make absolutely sure you can do the following:

Check that you are on the correct firmware: Yealink T46G 28.83.0.130

Following this, delete your extension. Then recreate it (to force any clients registered anywhere to fail - including webclient sessions and mobile client and desktop client - they will stay offline too until you reprovision them)

Provision the phone MAC on the extension as STUN (and change the ports accordingly).

Then factory reset the phone, and it will ask for a new extension and pin number to auto-provision itself.
