Call Transfer Failed - Transfer to External Numbers

So I know this issue has been talked about on other threads but I have not been able to resolve this issue.

We have an IVR that one of the prompts needs to send an external number. I have tried several different outbound rules and can get it to send just get the "Call Transfer Failed" when trying to do so.

We are using Amazon Chime as are SIP, here is what we get in the log.

12/06/2022 9:52:35 AM - Call to T:Line:10000>>+18887434662@[Dev:sip:[email protected];transport=TCP] from L:54.1[Line:10000<<+19729776854] failed, cause: Cause: 403 Caller Id +19729776854 is not valid/INVITE from 3.80.16.150:5060

Any help would be appreciated

Update, so I used a different SIP provider for the outbound call and had no issues. It look like its something with Amazon Chime maybe the Caller ID

UPDATE: Got it working. for anyone that has the issue in the future, you need to put your SIP Trunk number in the Caller ID field under outbound rules, ie =1-XXX-XXX-XXX

Cause: 403 Caller Id +19729776854 is not valid/INVITE from 3.80.16.150:5060

It would appear that they don't like the caller ID you are sending. Some providers do allow you to send any caller ID as long as it is in the correct format, (CLIP no screening), others will only allow you to use a number that they have assigned to you.

It's not that you need to put your number in that field, as that breaks caller ID for other calls, such as sending DID numbers, or forwarded numbers to providers that allow. It is that you have to send a correct caller ID. That can be done in a number of ways.
