Hi Guys

We have a 3rd party who screen calls made to 111111 and then they forward them on to our PBX at 222222.

The problem we have is that they're not passing on the caller's ID so we're receiving calls that display from 222222 to us.

What is the technical term for what they need to change so that they send the original callers ID?

If there is a technical term, then it is simply the Caller ID. They should be able to understand that you want the originators number to be passed onto you, rather than one that they have change it to.
Not knowing what equipment they use, or how they are doing this forwarding, means that you will not really be able to tell them what "settings" they need to change. They should be able to understand how their own equipment works, if they don't, then I'd be very concerned.

Thanks. I just wanted to know how this would happen at a technical level that would cause this. My SIP game is pretty much nonexistent tbf.

That's the "clip no screening" feature and only some SIP providers support that in order to avoid fraud. So they would have to ask their SIP provider if it's even available, then have their system use that number for their outbound call.
