After this last 3CX update (to 16.0.641), our inbound calls are showing the called ID number, instead of the caller ID number (however, the caller ID name is correct). As a result, we can no longer scroll through missed calls and select one to redial, as the system dials our number that was called. I tried changing the Contacts option for Add Group, Queue or DID/DDI Names to Caller ID to Do Not Add, but that did nothing. Does anyone know why this happened, or (even better) how to fix it? This happens on all desk phones, as well as with the 3CX app.

Who is your trunk provider? Someone may have some experience with that provider. Have you confirmed, what is actually being sent (the DID number and not the caller ID), in the 3CX Activity Log?

The 3CX activity log confirms the receipt of the caller ID and the called number info:

09/05/2020 9:31:18 AM - Call from "HOPKINSON,RUSSE " <sip:[email protected]>;tag=gK083d4ad2 to <sip:[email protected]>;tag=899fec55

Siptrunk.com is the provider, but again, everything was working fine until the recent 3CX update.

Unless your provider has changed (swapped) the fields it sends caller ID and DID information, I have to assume that it remains as it was before the upgrade. I have to assume that either they are not sending the way 3CX expects, and that this was compensated for, previously, and has been "reset" during the upgrade, or, could it be something to do with the DID rules, and the rule name (the DID number?), now being sent, as a part of the caller ID.

Compare step 4, to your current settings, there may be a difference.

The "Request-Line URI: User Part" value had been specified for the "CallerNum" field, instead of the "CalledNum" field. Thanks for making me double-check the settings!
