When an external call comes in the phone no that shows on the operators phone is the IP address of the server and that no also shows on the extension forwareded. What did I miss setting up properly. Am using Yealink T28 phone. If I make an external call to my personal DID I do see the number that called. Went live Friday. Am loving 3CX.

Incoming call from.....a VoIP provider? Please post a 3CX log showing an incoming call.

Either no number is available for the provider to send for this call or there is no caller ID service. Because there is no number, it looks like, for some reason the IP is being delivered o the set. Do you receive any calls where a number shows? It would be just after "Incoming call from", in the log.

I have my office phone with a DID that is on the list. If I call from an outside no. It will show me the calling no.
Sometimes now the operator gets the IP no and sometimes it shows our phone no, but not the cust. phone no.

I have 8 DID nos with inbound rules having all calls go to the operator. I have discoverd that it is the main no I have trouble with. If I call one of the other numbers we see the customer no on the display. Should the primary no not have an inbound rule?

Problem solved. The voip supplier needed to change some settings. Now I get name and number.
Thanks
