Calling a Logged out Hotdesking phone

Hi All,

I'm new to 3CX so this might be a dumb question.
If I have a HotDesking phone, it has an ext no of HD0000*. Is there a way that I can call that HotDesking phone without a person being logged in with their extension? Is there also a way the the hotdesking phone can be used to call other extensions without being logged into someone's extension? So in other words, let someone call a extension number 105 from hotdesking phone HD00001 without logging into the hotdesk phone.

I think you will find the phone needs to be logged in to accept / dial any calls.

The only exceptions are configured emergency numbers, you can dial them without be logged in.
